How to set up a dev site
Prepare the ground
If this is a brand new site, install WordPress by following the prompts.
Once you have base WordPress, login and click to update to the most recent version of WordPress.
Next, install the All in one WP migration plugin (the free version) and the All in one WP migration extended license by going to plugins > Add New
Click to upload plugin and in the browse box, locate the zip file for the plugin and click to install it.
On the next screen click to activate it.
Go back to plugins > Add New
Click the button to upload plugin and in the browse box, locate the zip file for the plugin and click to install it.
On the next screen click to activate it.
