How to remove an article from the Latest News Area on the GEN Homepage
There are two ways to remove an article from the Latest News area on the homepage from the edit post screen or from the all posts screen.
From the Edit Post screen
Click the edit button on the article you want to remove from the homepage by hovering over the image or by clicking it
You can also click the image and go to the post then click the edit post link in the black nav bar at the top of the page:
Scroll down to the box below the article that says Latest News Filter and click the radio button. Clicking 'Yes' will show the article in the Latest News area. Clicking 'No' will hide the article from the Latest News area:
Click the update button on the top right after you make your selection:
How to remove multiple articles from the Latest News Area at the same time
go to the WP Admin area and click on Posts to load the posts list:
Check off the articles you want to remove from the Latest News area:
(1) Click the down arrrow next to bulk actions to reveal the drop down menu (2) then select Edit and (3) hit the apply button.
In the Last News Filter, click Do not change to uncheck it and activate the controls then click 'Yes' to show the article in the Latest News area and 'No' to hide it. then click update.
That's it.
