How Contact Teams Work

Contact's are able to have multiple 'Owners' regardless of who created the Contact.

1. Adding Yourself to a Contact Team

1.1. From the Contact Detail Page, at the top of the page you'll have the option to add yourself.

1.2. If you add a contact during Opportunity Creation from the 'Other Contacts' tab, you'll automatically be added to the contact team

2. Reporting

All contact-based reporting should originate from a Contact Team type report, since only this would show ownership.

Since two sales rep's can be on the same contact team, it's important to recognize that the same contact may appear in reporting multiple times based on the # of sales reps.
