Advertising: Create New Opportunity
1. Click 'Create New Opportunity'
1.1. From Quick Links
1.2. From within the Account Detail Page
1.3. From within the 'Sales Console'
2. Enter in your standard opportunity information then select 'Next'.
Stage: How far along is the opportunity in the sales process
Agency: If this opportunity is facilitated through an Agency, this links the opportunity to that Agency's Account record (Account Record Type: Agency)
Close Date: Date the opportunity is prospected to close
3. Select a contact from the Account (or Agency) provided earlier, or create a new contact for the Opportunity
Click the Row (once highlighted) on the left hand side to add it to the right hand table.
By default, the contacts on this list are ones you're on the contact team for. If you click the "Other Contacts" tab, upon selection they will simultaneously be added to your contact team.
If you don't see the contact or it hasn't been created yet, click 'Add New Contact to Account'
Make sure to click "Save Contact" instead of "Save & Go To Record", otherwise you'll navigate away from the Opportunity Create New Page
4. Add your Products to the Opportunity
For pipeline opportunities, it is unlikely you'll know each and every start date. Creating a single line item to represent multiple dates is alright for pipeline; however, these must be broken out for the final closed won opportunity.
